INKBERROW BOWLS CLUB
If you live in the village of Inkberrow in Worcestershire or the surrounding area, you may not realise what a fantastic facility Inkberrow has with its own Bowling Green and Club house.
Let us introduce ourselves. We were established in 1996 with a lot of enthusiastic help from the local residents and are first and foremost a club set up to play bowls. This can range from ‘social’ bowls to full competitions within the Worcestershire area.
Once a member, our facilities are available for your use apart from Monday and Friday mornings when green maintenance is carried out. You may want to practice, brush up on some bowling techniques or enjoy a roll up with another member, the opportunity is there, and we welcome the green being used.
To many people the casual roll ups held on Wednesday mornings and Friday evenings is sufficient whilst others enjoy our friendly matches against surrounding clubs or within the club itself. If all goes well you may then wish to enter either of the two triple leagues one of which is run by ourselves. There is something to suit all.
It’s normal to feel a little apprehensive about starting something new, but bowls is a sport that is easy to take up and is very doable, relatively inexpensive and is really sociable.
So why not come along and have a go, all are welcome, family, friends and children over the age of 10 on a Wednesday morning from 10.30am or social club nights on Friday from 5.30pm onwards.
Just bring yourself, casual dress and flat shoes, bowls provided.
Playing bowls enables you to make new friends, support your local community and helps you lead a healthier lifestyle, go on give it go we look forward to seeing you on the green.
We also have social events too, fish & chip suppers, BBQ’s and Quiz nights and there is a bar and soft drinks for the kids too !
